Abarth’s new Yamaha hot hatch
August 10, 2017
Abarth, the Italian sports car company, is continuing its run of limited edition models with a special version of the 695 hot hatch to mark its relationship with Yamaha motorcycles.

The company is the official car supplier to the Yamaha Factory racing team in this year’s MotoGP World Championship. So to mark the occasion it has released the 695 XSR Yamaha decked out with an exclusive grey paint job.
The car boasts plenty of red body highlights and lots of carbon fibre to help mimic the finish Yamaha is using on its XSR900 motorcycle.
The XSR Yamaha is restricted to a run of 695 hatchbacks along with an additional 695 cabriolets priced from £20,360 and £22,360.
Powered by a 1.4-litre turbo T-Jet petrol engine and mated to a five speed manual gearbox the XSR Yamaha can sprint from 0-60mph in 7.3 seconds, maxes out at 135mph and can deliver combined fuel economy of 47.1mpg with emissions of 139g/km.
The XSR Yamaha has 17-inch alloys, Alcantara-trimmed sports seat, a carbon-effect dash and metal pedals. Special features to look out for include and Akrapovic exhaust system and Abarth’s onboard telemetry system as well as a seven-inch Uconnect display screen.
There’s also a numbered plaque to prove its exclusivity.
