DS 3 gains its newly refreshed identity
January 22, 2016
The ever-popular DS 3 has joined its stablemates in the newly formed DS premium brand with a fresh new look that breaks any ties with its Citroen roots. The DS marque broke away from Citroen in 2014 and as a stand-alone brand has already refreshed its DS 5 executive flagship and the DS 4 hatchback.
And the final link in the chain is the best-selling DS 3 model, which now features a revised nose incorporating the DS-style grille as well as a whole host of personalisation options inside and out for both the hatch and the cabriolet models.
Pricing and full specification details are yet to be announced although DS has revealed that the new line-up will feature five petrol engines including a 208bhp performance turbo and two diesels, one with emissions as low as 87g/km.
Inside, the cockpit has been updated and is less cluttered with fewer controls and the car now comes with a seven-inch touchscreen which will operate most of the onboard functions.
New connectivity systems will help customers link up to Android and Apple devices and the car will also feature the likes of parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
