Ford turns up the heat with hot hatch Fiesta
March 3, 2016
Ford certainly turned up the heat and fanned the flames at this week’s Geneva Motor Show by unveiling its Fiesta ST compact hot hatch.
It’s the new Ford Fiesta ST200, which comes complete with 10 per cent more power and 20 per cent extra torque, with 200PS and 290Nm from a specially calibrated 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. It’s the most powerful production Fiesta ever and can sprint to 62mph from a standstill in just 6.7 seconds and maxes out at 143mph.
The ST200 models boast an exclusive spec including a unique Storm Grey exterior and machined matt black 17-inch alloy wheels, red painted brake callipers and a smarter cabin with part-leather Charcoal Recaro front seats and contrasting silver stitching, plus illuminated scuff plates and seatbelts with silver detailing.
