Hyundai’s i20 ups the ante
August 14, 2014
Hyundai’s latest i20 supermini is due to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.
It boasts a much more distinctive style than the outgoing model which was introduced back in 2009.
It has also grown in size and is more than an inch longer. In fact, Hyundai claims the new i20 is a true five seater with a family sized boot of 326 litres, which is significantly larger than the top-selling Ford Fiesta.
Designed by Hyundai’s European style team based in Germany, the car also features LED running lights at the front, a panoramic sunroof and a rear-view camera.
The new design follows the Korean car maker’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ theme which has already transformed the i10 city car and the larger i30 and i40 hatchback, saloon and estate models.
