Limited-edition Polo to mark 50th year
June 12, 2025
The Polo Edition 50 goes on sale in the UK on June 19 to celebrate half a century of Volkswagen’s ever-popular supermini superstar.

This one-off and eye-catching newcomer is available only in limited numbers and is expected to attract lots of interest from Polo fans, all keen to own a piece of Volkswagen and automotive history.
The Polo Edition 50 sits between the R-Line and Black Edition models in Volkswagen UK’s current Polo line-up. Anyone seeing it will be left in no doubt that this is a special car, thanks to its exclusive ‘50’ badges on the steering wheel, B pillar, instrument panel and front door sills, not to mention its eye-catching Crystal blue metallic paint that isn’t currently available for any other Polo in the UK. Its head-turning good looks are enhanced further by unique Edition 50 sports seats, gloss-black decorative inserts in the cabin, rear tinted windows and 17-inch Tortosa alloy wheels.
Other useful features traditionally reserved for top-end Volkswagen trims and models include a tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, rear-view camera, keyless access and start, and two-zone Air Care Climatronic air conditioning. A one-litre petrol TSI engine with 95PS sits under the bonnet, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Polo was the UK’s best-selling supermini last year (source: SMMT) and remains a perennially popular choice for British car buyers. The Polo Edition 50 can be ordered at Volkswagen UK Retailers from Thursday, June 19, priced £26,350 (on-the-road recommended retail price including VAT).
