MG announces prices for its new ZS EV

November 1, 2021

MG has announced the prices for its new longer range, all-electric ZS SUV with the three model line-up starting from £28,495 (after the Government grant for plug-in vehicles).

MG ZS

The stylish four-door ZS now has a driving range of up to 273 miles which is an increase of 110 miles compared to the current model and it features a new-look front end which is exclusive to MG’s electric models.

The ZS EV now has a 72kWh battery which can be recharged to 80 per cent capacity in 42 minutes from a fast charger, while charging from a home wallbox overnight takes 10.5 hours to complete.

When it comes to performance, the top speed is 108mph with a 0-60mph sprint time of 8.2 seconds compared to a maximum of 87mph in the regular EV which has a 44.5kWh battery.

An iSmart system is fitted to all versions and this clever technology provides remote access to several vehicle functions via a 10.1-inch vertical touchscreen, including locking the vehicle and operating the air conditioning.

The mid-grade Trophy models, costing from £30,995, feature a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, electrical adjustment for the driver’s seat, upgraded upholstery, rain-sensing wipers and wireless phone charging.

The ZS line-up will top out at £31,495 for the high specification Trophy Connect versions, which will include additional services on the iSmart system such as live weather reports and traffic updates along with Amazon Prime.
