XPENG invites artists to come forward

February 26, 2026

XPENG UK is inviting artists and creatives across the country to submit their work to the XPENG Visionary Art Challenge, a nationwide design competition exploring the relationship between advanced technology and artistic expression through the theme “Art in Motion.”

XPENG art competition

Originally unveiled in partnership with London Art Fair, the competition reflects XPENG’s design philosophy – where intelligent engineering, aesthetic precision and human-centred innovation converge – and now calls on creatives to submit original interpretations inspired by the brand’s vision of future mobility.

“The Visionary Art Challenge reflects our belief that mobility is not simply functional – it is emotional, expressive and intrinsic to culture,” said Alison Aldridge, Head of Marketing at XPENG UK. “Through this competition, we want to inspire creatives to interpret our theme of “art-in-motion” while providing a platform to share their talents with the nation. We can’t wait to see the variety of entrants. I feel the judges will have their work cut out for them”

The competition draws inspiration from the recently introduced XPENG G6, now available to UK customers. The all-electric SUV represents XPENG’s latest advances in vehicle design, integrating aerodynamic engineering, intelligent architecture and sophisticated user-focused technology within a streamlined coupe SUV form. Its focus on efficiency, precision and design provides a strong foundation for creative exploration within the “Art in Motion” brief.

Open to anyone aged 18 and over – from established artists to emerging talent – the competition welcomes submissions across multiple disciplines, including digital art, illustration, sculpture, painting and photography. Entrants are encouraged to interpret how movement, form and technology can shape the future of design.

The overall winner will receive a £6,000 prize and have their work showcased in leading national print publications including Wired, GQ, The Art Newspaper and National Geographic. Five runners-up will each receive £600.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of experts from XPENG UK and London Art Fair, with the final winner selected by XPENG’s global Head of Creative Design, Rafik Ferrag. Six shortlisted works will be judged on creativity, interpretation of the “Art in Motion” theme and the strength of their design rationale.

The competition closes at 23:59 on Sunday, 15 March 2026, with winners announced on 30 March 2026.

All submissions must be original and reference the XPENG G6, reflecting the brand’s progressive approach to automotive design and intelligent mobility. Full entry details and submission guidelines are available at: https://xpengcars.co.uk/london-art-fair-competition/
