Porsche Macan gets all sporty
November 23, 2015
Porsche has upped the ante in it performance-oriented SUV line-up with the introduction of a sporty GTS version of the Macan.
Sitting between the Macan S and the Macan Turbo the latest model is priced from £55,188 and comes with an uprated twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 360bhp engine.
The 20 extra horsepower over that of the Macan S gives the GTS a 0-60 sprint time of 5.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 160mph. Fuel consumption is rated at 31.4mpg with carbon emissions of 212g/km.
The engine is mated to Porsche’s seven-speed PDK transmission and the Macan GTS sits on 20-inch alloys while the active suspension has been lowered by 15mm to enhance its sporty credentials.
Inside, the car is kitted out with sports seats and features the latest Porsche communications system which can access the Internet on the move as well as offering smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay.
LED headlamps are an option and the GTS is distinguished from other Macans with black highlights in the bodywork which are finished in gloss above the waistline and matt below. The GTS also comes with a sports exhaust which gives an added edge to its road presence.
