Beating the Budget cuts
April 3, 2013
Last month’s Budget may have included major changes to capital allowances – the amounts a business can offset against corporation tax on the purchase of a new company car in 2013/14 – but more than 150 Audi models still undercut the new emissions thresholds.
Under the new rules fleet purchasers can only benefit from the most advantageous annual allowance of 18% if their car emits between 96g/km and 130g/km of carbon emissions.
And thankfully, many Audi models do just that.
In fact, in the Audi A1 and A1 Sportback ranges a total of 16 engine and transmission combinations comply, while in the new A3 and A3 Sportback ranges the total rises to 18 combinations.
In addition, from this summer the number of A3 options will increase when the new A3 Saloon order book opens.
