Sizzling hot newcomer from Mercedes
March 21, 2016
The mid-size SUV arena is spicing up thanks to the introduction of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC which is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine developing 367bhp.
The striking model comes with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shortened shift times plus rear biased all-wheel drive and specially tuned sports suspension.
According to Mercedes the multiple downshift results in faster short bursts of speed, while the double-declutching function in the Sport and Sport Plus modes makes for a more emotive driving experience.
In numbers terms this means the AMG GLC 43 4MATIC can soar to 62mph from a standing start in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed which is electronically governed to 155mph.
Additional muscular styling comes via silver chrome coloured and high-gloss black features like the twin-spoke alloy wheels, rear apron and twin tail pipes. A glimpse inside reveals black leather seats and upholstery along with a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel complete with red stitching.
