Toyota marks 60 years of the Corolla

September 1, 2026

Toyota is celebrating six decades of one of its most successful models ever, the Corolla hatchback.

The Corolla 60th Anniversary edition features lots of exclusive exterior and interior details over the standard car. The most notable is the Boreal Blue metallic paint work, presented with a contrasting bi-tone Eclipse Black roof. There’s new-look 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels with a contrast matt and machined-faced look and chrome black wheel nuts.

Further exterior enhancements include the matt silver garnishes on the lower front bumper and side sills, while there are dark-plated front fog light surrounds, plus back and rear bumper garnishes. The new look is finished off with a 60th Anniversary decal located on the lower edge of the rear doors.

Moving into the cabin, there is a customisable 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.5-inch infotainment system. Meanwhile, there are exclusive 60th Anniversary-inscripted motif-printed door sills, to give the cabin a more premium feel.

The Corolla 60th Anniversary will be available with the entry-level 1.8-litre hybrid setup, which comprises a petrol engine mated to an electric motor that makes 138bhp and can return a claimed 64.1mpg on the WLTP cycle.

Production for the Corolla 60th Anniversary will be limited, though Toyota has not revealed exact numbers at this stage. Prices will be revealed soon and the car will be available to order from showrooms in October.
