VW introduces new Match trim to T-Roc

August 10, 2026

The new Volkswagen T-Roc range has just gained even more appeal with the announcement of a new ‘Match’ trim level.

VW T-Roc Life

The T-Roc has just been transformed into its second generation and the Match trim will sit above the entry-level Life specification.

Prices start at £31,135 for the T-Roc Match which adds a substantial amount of extra kit over the Life model, including 18-inch silver Torina alloy wheels, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear privacy glass, Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster, a satellite navigation system and an IDA Voice Assistant.

Under the bonnet, the T-Roc Match is available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that boasts a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and is badged eTSi. This engine set-up comes as standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission and the option of 114bhp and 148bhp power outputs.

Later down the line, you’ll be able to get the second-generation T-Roc with a regular hybrid powertrain, which will consist of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to two electric motors.

The T-Roc sits in the extremely competitive compact crossover class, and rivals cars such as the Toyota C-HR and Hyundai Kona.

Orders for the Volkswagen T-Roc Match will open on August 13t, while deliveries are expected to commence later this year.
