Isuzu takes its pick-up to the Max
September 22, 2018
Isuzu – the company renowned for its pick-up expertise – is upping the ante with the arrival of its latest D-Max model that is packed to bursting with the latest technology.

Officially launched on October 1, the latest Isuzu D-Max continues to go from strength to strength and now offers plenty of extra kit as standard. This includes Trailer Sway Control on all 4×4 models. The system uses sensors to detect trailer swing and reduces the vehicle’s speed if any sway is identified. Speed is controlled by reducing engine torque and braking automatically (without driver operation). Vehicle brake lights will illuminate when automatic braking occurs.
In addition, double cab suspension changes from a five piece to a three-piece leaf spring suspension for improved ride comfort and reduced noise levels, whilst retaining all the benefits of the current suspension. Strength, durability and towing ability remain the same because the springs are made from a higher strength material. Rust prevention has also been improved as the stronger steel has increased hydrogen resistance and a slower corrosion rate.
Kerb weight on double cab models has been reduced by 10kgs resulting in a payload increase of 10kgs.
Customers can choose from three new exterior colours called Spinel Red, Sapphire Blue and Galena Grey. The range topping Blade model will now be available in four colours, with the addition of Obsidian Grey and Spinel Red now offered in the colour line-up.
The newest D-Max also benefits from a refined and enhanced interior, with updated soft pad designs to the arm rests, binnacle and utility box lid. Gloss black trim has been added to the window switches, air vents and glove box, which also incorporates a new Isuzu D-Max badge. The use of new materials increases the quality, look and feel of premium models and ensures greater comfort on all journeys and terrains.
The updated Isuzu D-Max range is powered by an innovative turbo diesel engine that delivers 164PS and 360Nm of torque. It requires no AdBlue to meet Euro 6 emissions regulations and offers combined fuel economy that exceeds 40mpg.
In addition to the new features, the Isuzu D-Max also retains its 3.5 tonne towing capability, outstanding 125,000 mile/five-year warranty (whichever comes first) and five-year roadside assistance in the UK and across Europe.
Pricing for the newly updated Isuzu D-Max range starts at £16,799 (excluding VAT) for the Isuzu D-Max 4×2 Single Cab to £29,799 for the top of the range Blade (automatic).
