These models are available to order from October 5 and feature the new striking front-end design with stronger road presence. Toyota is also adding extra safety equipment, styling and practicality to its workhorse lower grade models.
Prices start from £22,466 (CV OTR) for the Single Cab Active grade which now features Toyota Safety Sense 2 fitted as standard incorporating a Pre-Collision System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Road Sign Assist. Applicable to the Extra and Double Cabs only, the 2.4-litre diesel engine also has its efficiency boosted by the addition of stop/start technology. All new Hilux will also come with Connected car capabilities including features such as driving analytics, maintenance reminders and ‘find my car’.
Standard features on the entry-level Hilux still include air-conditioning, radio and CD player, Bluetooth with USB, auto headlights and a rear differential lock. The Active grade is available in all three body-styles, Single, Extra and Double Cab.
For the Icon grade, available in Double Cab only, pricing starts at £26,549 (CV OTR) for the manual version. New features add the latest Multimedia software including smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, coupled with a new 8-inch Toyota Touchscreen.
It features the new 17-inch alloy wheels along with the practicality of an automatic limited slip differential to improve low grip driving in 2WD. In addition to the Active grade specification, standard features on Icon also include power folding door mirrors, a reversing camera, privacy glass, LED front fog-lamps and side-steps.
For load-carrying practicality, Hilux’s one tonne payload and 3.5 tonne towing capacity are delivered across all three body-styles.
