Plugging in

As Government support, media and public interest in electric cars ramps up, Peugeot is appointing 22 of its existing dealers, located across the UK, to sell and service its 100% electric car, the new Peugeot iOn.
Each specialist dealer will have a Peugeot iOn demonstrator, dedicated electric vehicle charging point, specially trained staff and all necessary specialist servicing equipment.
The Becks Group in the south of England is a designated centre and Brian McAlister, Dealer Principal, has welcomed the opportunity.
He said: “The Becks Group are proud to be in partnership with Peugeot Motor Company in their 200th anniversary year.
“Our efforts to enhance the experience of our customer service through sales and servicing is rightly of great importance to all the staff at Becks.
“For many years now we have seen impressive improvements in the standards of product quality within the brand and it is our intention at Becks to continue with our investment in producing the highest standard of mechanical, parts and sales staff within the Becks Group.
“Also, as the leading Peugeot Dealer in the south of England we are delighted to have been selected as the Regional Center for the new Peugeot iOn (all electric car).
“The new static electrical charging point will be installed this month and the intense technician technical training is underway. We are shortly awaiting the arrival of our iOn demonstrator, which will be available for potential customers to test,” he added.

Customers wanting to make the most of the Government Plug-In Car Grant of £5,000 can order a Peugeot iOn straightaway and expect to be driving emissions-free by February. To help, Peugeot has developed a bespoke leasing offer for the new iOn and it is available on a four year, 40,000 mile personal lease scheme from £415 per month plus VAT with zero deposit.
