Buyers look to DS for inspiration

August 30, 2016

Motorists looking for a stylish, modern and fashionable car are looking to the DS range for inspiration. And the compact, three-door entry-level DS 3 Chic will be the choice of many who are tempted to opt for French flair and value for money when it comes to a new registration vehicle.

DS-3

The base DS 3 Chic comes with the latest punchy 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 82bhp and also boasts great fuel economy and a refined drive.

There is a slick, five-speed manual gearbox and the car is just perfect for town, country and motorway trips with Citroen claiming combined run economy of about 62mpg.

It can reach from 0-62mph in 12.3 seconds and has a top speed of 108mph and, with a low carbon emissions rating of just 107 g/km, the road tax is low.

Eye-catching design features include the new DS 3 front grille, 16-inch alloys, a chrome exhaust tailpipe, slim headlights, chrome door handles and side rubbing strips, plus 3D LED rear lights.

Despite being the base model the new DS 3 Chic is packed with high end equipment and driving aids. It comes fitted with air con, cruise control, variable assistance power steering, seven-inch colour touchscreen, a six-speaker RDS and DAB digital radio, remote central locking, tyre pressure monitor, alarm and immobiliser, Bluetooth hands free and media streaming with USB socket, remote central locking, driver, front passenger, front lateral and curtain airbags and many more useful and safety devices.

Priced from £14,340 the DS 3 Chic is outstanding value for a snazzy little motor in a line-up which also includes an open-top model costing from £16,295.
