Extra power for new Audi SQ2 models

November 17, 2020

Audi has announced upgrades to its sporty SQ2 range of compact hot SUVs to give them a more powerful performance.

The latest generation SQ2 will feature a 2.0-litre turbo engine now delivering 300PS and the sportier looking SQ2 Black Edition models will now be joined by a new SQ2 Vorsprung version.

The stunning car is priced from £38,900 and all cars have received exterior styling enhancements, including sharper body lines and LED headlights as standard. The Vorsprung models have LED matrix lamps fitted which offer excellent illumination at night.

The SQ2 can power its way from 0-60mph in just 4.9 seconds, maxing out at 155mpg while delivering a combined 34.0mpg with carbon emissions from 188g/km.

On-board infotainment technology is upgraded across the line-up with the addition of Audi’s MMI navigation plus system with its 8.3-inch monitor and a fully digital virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch binnacle display. The car now includes a rear-view camera and a radar system which monitors the area in front of the vehicle to help prevent accidents.

Range-topping Vorsprung models are based on the SQ2 Black Edition but come with different alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, front seat heating, leather sport seats and the Audi phone system enabling wireless charging and connection of smartphones to the vehicle’s aerial.

Driver assistance features include Audi side assist blind spot monitoring, a cross traffic assist reversing aid, adaptive cruise assist and park assist for automatic hands-free steering into and out of parking spaces,

Deliveries of all SQ2 variants will begin early next year.
