Power upgrade for Mercedes AMG E 53
May 3, 2018
Mercedes has announced that its AMG E 53 4MATIC+ saloon and estate models are now on sale with prices starting from £61,835 and £63,835 respectively.

The AMG E 53, which replaces the AMG E 43, uses AMG’s new 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine with EQ Boost technology. This generates 435bhp and 520Nm, with an additional 22bhp and 250Nm thanks to the EQ Boost system.
The EQ Boost starter-alternator is fitted between the engine and transmission and aims to improve driving performance while, at the same time, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
It can deliver up to 32.5mpg on the combined cycle and emits 200g/km of CO2. Both models have an electronically limited top speed of 155mph and can sprint from 0 to 62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
An AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission comes as standard, and features short shift times, fast response to paddle commands, a double-declutching function and multiple downshifts.
First deliveries of the AMG E 53 4MATIC+ saloon and estate models are expected by July.
