Bentley goes electric with Torcal SUV

September 28, 2026

Bentley is the latest car manufacturer to go down the electric route with its new Torcal SUV.

Bentley Torcal

The Torcal is a rival to the new Range Rover Electric and Mercedes EQS SUV, and brings bold styling, a premium cabin and sports-car-like performance.

Underneath, there is a 113kWh battery pack mated to dual electric motors resulting in all-wheel drive. The entry-level Core model produces 810bhp and 1,194Nm of torque, while it can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and will reach a top speed of 155mph. Bentley claims this model can achieve up to 375 miles between top-ups.

The Torcal S has more power, producing 876bhp and 1,350Nm of torque – that makes it the most powerful road-going Bentley to date. It can sprint to 62mph in 2.8 seconds, when launch control is activated, and will run out of puff at 162mph.

On the outside, the Torcal’s design is very imposing with its swollen rear haunches, short overhangs, tapered roofline and upright bonnet.

The cabin boasts lots of new optional materials with a curved infotainment system. Furthermore, customers can choose from a selection of different interior finishes such as Ombré Walnut by Mulliner and Sunburst Aluminium by Mulliner.

Open the boot, and the Torcal offers 460 litres of space, while every model will come with a 90-litre frunk.

Prices and UK specifications for the Bentley Torcal will be revealed in due course.
