New Hyundai Tucson gets bolder styling
October 3, 2026
The next-generation Hyundai Tucson has been revealed, bringing a bold new look to the mix.

The current Hyundai Tucson is one of Britain’s best-selling cars, and this new model has big boots to fill if it’s going to continue the success of its predecessor.
On the outside, the car incorporates Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language, with its bold creases, H-edge lighting and sculptured prism rear taillights.
Step inside, and the bold theme continues with a completely redesigned two-layered dashboard, while there’s Hyundai’s new Pleos Connect infotainment screen, which is available in 12.9-inch and 17-inch sizes, depending on the car’s specification.
You’ll be able to get the Tucson with several powertrain options too. The entry-level petrol uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged unit that produces 148bhp and is hooked up to a six-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, this powertrain will be available as a mild hybrid, boasting a 48-volt battery and will send its power through to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
A regular hybrid will also be available, which uses the same 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, but is mated to an electric motor to produce a combined 242bhp and 380Nm of torque. A plug-in hybrid set-up completes the Tucson line-up, which uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and 17.1kWh battery pack, which Hyundai claims can take the car up to 50 miles on electric-only power.
Further details including prices and UK specifications will be announced towards the end of this year.
