VW Amarok gets the posh treatment
November 8, 2018
Volkswagen is taking its mighty Amarok pick-up model right upmarket with the launch of a special edition Aventura model.

The new version, costing £39,960 excluding VAT, will feature smart leather upholstery, a state-of-the-art navigation system, 20-inch alloys along with specially designed comfort seats.
The truck also comes with a body-coloured sports bar with Aventura badging, chrome-plated side bars with step and LED spot lighting. There’s also a Lights and Vision package which includes automatic headlights with separate daytime running lights, a coming home feature and windscreen wiper intermittent control with rain sensor, along with front fog lights with cornering function as standard.
VW claims the 4×4 Aventura, which is powered by a 258PS, 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, is the most luxurious Amarok ever. With the overboost function in use, the engine can pump out 272PS and it generates 580Nm of torque between 1,400 and 3,000rpm
When it comes to cost, VW is offering the Amarok Aventura with the option of a £2,355 (excluding VAT) reduction for special matt body colours which equates to a saving of 24 per cent – as well as specially made roll top covers in black or silver for an extra £1,387.50.
